The Long Dock

Welcome to one of the Wild Atlantic Way’s most remote beauty spots, the Loop Head peninsula in the wildest reaches of West Clare and The Long Dock, the classic Irish pub whose proud custodians Tony and Imelda Lynch are purveyors of great local food, drink and hospitality.

Whether you’re travelling north from the rocky isles and lush lakelands of Kerry or south from the otherworldly landscape of the Burren and thrilling Cliffs of Moher, Loop Head is the perfect place to pause for a breather. Be sure to bring an appetite for our award-winning food – and stay as long as you can to discover the magic of this unspoilt jewel of the west.

Our Story

We’re proud to have built an excellent reputation for our food offer, and of the team that Imelda leads front-of-house and Tony leads in the kitchen. But we all know that it is the fishermen and farmers, our local suppliers, growers and producers that make our award-winning food so special.

The Parlour

Our new ice-cream parlour is a hit with all generations. Housed in what was once the milking parlour, we have remained true to our rural way of life by blending natural ingredients to produce our range of homemade ice-cream. You can even pick up a tub with packets of mini meringues and marshmallows to make your own dessert at home.
